Pre-Tryout Clinics

This year we are significantly upgrading our pre-tryout clinics. However, please note, these clinics are not mandatory and will have no impact on tryout evaluations. We provide this service to help facilitate the transition from fall and winter sports into the baseball season and to begin building camaraderie among the age groups.

For ages 11-14, clinics will be conducted at Bat Speed Baseball Academy – a 17,800 square foot, air conditioned, year-round indoor facility located in Gurnee.

For ages 9-10, clinics will be conducted at the Lake Forest Rec Center gymnasium, 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045

LFBA coaches and professional coaches from Bat Speed will manage the clinics and run the drills. The Lake Forest High School baseball coaches and Varsity Head Coach Tommy Myers will also provided some assistance.

Clinics Dates – Lake Forest Recreation Center – Ages 9 and 10

Sunday, February 14, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Sunday, February 21, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Clinics Dates – Bat Speed Baseball Academy – Ages 11 to 14

Sunday, January 24, 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, ages 11-12; 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm, ages 13-14.

Sunday, January 31, 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, ages 11-12; 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm, ages 13-14.

Sunday, February 14, 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, ages 11-12; 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm, ages 13-14.

Sunday, February 21, 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm, ages 11-12; 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm, ages 13-14.

Costs of Clinics

These clinics are free for everyone who registers for tryouts.
