Now that the season is off to a great start, we want to remind all LFBA fans and players, that we are ambassadors of Lake Forest and privileged to be a part of this sport.  Our LFBA organization continues to hold a terrific reputation for respect and good sportsmanship.  All of us who are supporters and participate in LFBA can take great pride in this reputation.

As the season progresses, we wish to remind all of our participants – families, fans and players – that we must continue to support the principals that have made this sport great and your LFBA organization successful.  These are principals of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, sportsmanship and good citizenship.  Please recall that we asked for your commitment and support to these principals when the 2010 teams were selected. 

A few reminders -

• We will be respectful of teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, umpires and spectators
• We will display good sportsmanship and team play at all times
• We will respect the decision of coaches and officials during games and practices and will never question, discuss, heckle, or confront coaches at a game or in front of players
• We will refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
• We will respect and support the game, players and the team by encouraging & supporting attendance to all practices, games and events.
• We will do our best to ensure the sport is enjoyable for our kids, participants and spectators.

To help ensure a successful and enjoyable season for all of us, we ask for your help.   Please help us keep these principles alive in spirit and practice throughout the season.  We will continue to teach and enforce these principals and we ask for your help as well – your help to not only conduct yourselves in a manor consistent with these principals but also encourage other who might need reminding.  In other words, please help us reinforce these guidelines to our teammates, our fans and all of our LFBA community.

Good luck to all our teams and players for a truly wonderful baseball season.
